“The brand essence of MEDICA and COMPAMED is the intercontinental appearance among exhibitors and visitors. Due to the pandemic, this central core cannot be implemented in the form of a presence event this year. However, thanks to the annual cycle of MEDICA and COMPAMED, we are now staying in touch with our customers by creating a comprehensive virtual and globally accessible marketplace with top-class program items for the community. Depending on the situation, this is a good starting point for getting started together in the trade fair year 2021. Then we will again offer the successful combination of live platforms for trade visitors at the Düsseldorf exhibition center and digital offers, ”continues Wolfram Diener.
Most recently, more than 80 percent of the exhibitors came regularly from abroad, from around 70 nations. The visitors came from around 170 nations, with 70 percent international visitors. Both events together counted a good 6,300 exhibitors and 121,000 trade visitors in the previous year.
